Doftkullen 1998 - slut juni och juli blommade doftschersmin för första gången så vackert och rikligt . Tidigare, redan mitt i maj blommade bredvidstående luktolvon, V.x burkwoodii, bilden nedan:.
'DoDoftkullen i maj 1998. Röda tulpaner bakåt var felmarkerade och visade sig ovanligt färgade, nästan blåröda - och helt överraskande, också fransiga. Tyvärr, med åren försvann dem, och jag vet inte vad de hette. På den tiden visste inte jag att tulpanerna måste vara tagna upp från jorden för sommaren innan man planterar dem igen på hösten. Vitblommande är luktolvon och vinteriberis.

'The Scent Hill' 1998 - Philadelphus coronarius flowering really rich the first time. The other shrub next door, Viburnum x burkwoodii (Picture Below), flowered already in May
'The Scent Hill' in May 1998. Red Tulips in feet of shrubs have been wrong-labelled so the colour, not common red-marin, was pretty much surprising - but they occurred as well to be fringe! As often happens, they disappeared next years, maybe because I then had no idea that you must take upp bulbs and save under summer before you plant them again in autumn. Without name I have never be able to buy them again. You can see the white flowering shrub, Viburnum x burkwoodii and the white flowers, which are rockery plant, Iberis sempervirens.
